TODAY'S BLESSING: GENESIS 49:16-17
Use Your Gifts for Good, Not Evil
“Dan will provide justice for his people as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan will be a snake by the roadside, a viper along the path, that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider tumbles backward.
~Genesis 49:16-17, New International Version
Dan (meaning "judge") would create a legacy that included the first judge to fight for Israel's freedom, Samson. But like Samson, the tribe influenced others through various subtleties and schemes. This made their introduction of idols into the kingdom highly effective.
Lord, bless us to use our gifts for good and not evil!
God, thank you for creating us to be creative. Thank you making each of us different and special and unique. Thank you for making us a reflection of you in the earth. Now, Lord, bless us to use what you have given us to reveal light and not darkness. Let our subtleties build people and kingdom. We bind any desire to use our anointing contrary to your will. We will magnify your name, not use it to manipulate. Keep us shrewd as a serpent, yet gentle as a dove. In Jesus' name we ask it all and believe you for this blessing. Amen.
