Blessed to Be Born for This
TODAY'S BLESSING - GENESIS 49:8-12
Thinking of a Master Plan...
“Judah, your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons will bow down to you. You are a lion’s cub, Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness—who dares to rouse him? The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his. He will tether his donkey to a vine, his colt to the choicest branch; he will wash his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes. His eyes will be darker than wine, his teeth whiter than milk.

Reuben may have been the first born, but Judah was born for this.
Father Jacob speaks in this passage with such insight about the lineage of Jesus through his son, Judah, you can imagine him looking down forty-two generations from Abraham into a lowly manger.
Whatever today looks like, your greater is still coming. You are still a part of Heaven's master plan.
To the Almighty God,
Nothing can be done well without you. Thank you for replacing our mistakes with holy momentum. Thank you for unlocking our potential despite an imperfect past. The future belongs to us because the authority of Christ resides in us. We anticipate glory. Like a lion, give us the strength to go get it. In Jesus' name. Amen.
