Something for the Creative Mind

CREATE!

Please accept my apology in advance.

This blog will not be saturated with sweet songs and poetic verse.

Your purpose is too important.

Your inventive, creative mind is too important.

You are too important.

What a Difference a Day Makes.

At the time this blog is first published, I will have just turned fifty-five years old. It has me feeling very nostalgic, even a little motherly so do not be surprised if I sound like your mom, your granny, or even your Madea in this blog.

I feel a sense of urgency when it comes to what God has for you. It is my heart's desire that you press through to what God has for you.

I do not want you to go through what I went through to get what God has for you.

From my heart to yours, I hope I hope the following insights from my creative journey move you forward in yours:

Baby, You Better Fight!

I just celebrated a birthday, but the gift right now is what God has for you so baby you better fight. Fight like everything is at stake because it is. Fight like there is no tomorrow. There may not be.

All you have is today. What will you do with today?

Fight on your knees in prayer and on your laptop as you plan. Fight in the boardroom and the workroom and do it knowing you are not alone.

God is All You Need. Let Him Do His Job.

God the Father takes the position of authority.

Jesus the Son takes the position of purpose.

The Holy Spirit takes the position of prominence in our daily lives.

If you feel like God is all you have, then I promise God is all you need but needing God does not mean you are called to do this thing by yourself.

I tread lightly right now because we too often misunderstand needing God versus our need for people.

God is the source of your desire. The provision needed by you to see this thing through is stored in his warehouses. People are not the source; they are part of the provision.

When you see your co-laborers through this perspective, you realize that God can use anybody he chooses to help take your assignment from dream to design. He can also remove those people or things that are hindering progress.

That is why HE is all you need.

So, subdue your ego. Give the Master of the Universe room to create the village for your success.

Your Enemy is not Chaos. It's Ego. Kill the Enemy.

One of ego's primary responsibilities is to make us believe we do not need anyone. Especially when we have previously opened ourselves up to collaborate with people and they did not live up to their end of the bargain.

But this is not "Let's Make a Deal".

This is divine work with divine responsibility needing a divine recruiter to fulfill divine purpose.

Most of the time, chaos shows up when working with people because they are not the right people for the job.

So, stop trying to make someone the right person for the job.

Stop giving great responsibility to people who just want to help out.

Stop giving spotlight to those who will not work in the dark.

Stop selling yourself and your future short.

If you are swimming in chaos, check your ego when it comes who is called to work with you and how. If they do not heaven's security clearance, then they cannot walk the path from vision to reality.

Let Wisdom Be Your Sister.

If you get this one, everything else (including the former three), will fall into place.

Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.” ~Proverbs 7:4, New International Version

(I guess it would not be me if we did not have a little poetry!)

I wrote this piece last year when I went to God the Source after feeling overwhelmed by purpose. Let it speak to you as move forward.

To My Sweet Sista, Wisdom...

Counsel me in ways of Kingdom.

Be my hope and my guide.

Fill me daily with your delight.

Empty my arrogance and pride.

Blow my mind with your knowledge.

Teach me to be discreet.

Saturate my soul, Sweet Sista,

with your prudence and your peace.

Whisper to me in dawn of light.

Comfort me in moon's glow.

Join me where the paths meet

and show me where to go.

Feed me your finest fruit

so my lips will speak what's right.

Abide with me, Sweet Sista,

cheer me on both day and night.

Your place in forever is too important to do anything else but move forward.

Just do it God's way.

If you are still breathing, that means there is still time to get this thing right. Apply wisdom to your dream, your design, your destiny and you will find your place in forever.

And always remember I love you, but God loves you more.
