Is God Enough for You?
IN HONOR OF HOLY WEEK
From the GOD 'n You blog, "The Gift of Solitude"
Â
Do we believe God really is enough?
If God was enough, would we be lonely?
If God was enough, would we be scared?
If God was enough, would we feel like no one cared?
If God was enough, would we make bad choices or carry we burdens we bare?
Â
Yes, we need each other, but we also need God to fill the gaps.
To take away the loneliness.
To kill the fear.
To remind us that someone really does care.
To help us make the right choices and lighten the burdens we bare.
Â
Maybe life would be different if God was there.
Â
Perhaps, in this season, instead of running from God He is setting you up to run to Him.
Â
He really IS enough.

Solitude
Â
Then Mary took a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. ~John 12:3
Â
As I meander through the crowd, life is rushing before me, my mind replaying the all losses… and all the loves.
Â
The circumstances of my life would not have me here, but I came anyway.
Â
I don’t know when I will leave this space. I just know I don’t want to, so I’ll stay despite the condemnation of those trying to squeeze me out.
Â
This time, their opinion will not hinder me. No, not this time.
Â
Not at the Savior’s feet.
Â
He makes it easy for me to be where they say I don’t belong.
Â
Because I do belong.
Â
This is my spot.
My shaded palm tree.
My quiet sunset.
My singular grace.
Â
The place where sorrow has no hold on me.Â
