9 Days of Seclusion: UNITY

Click below to hear the Devotional Reading Playback

“In the days of Shamgar son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were abandoned; travelers took to winding paths. Villagers in Israel would not fight; they held back until I, Deborah, arose, until I arose, a mother in Israel.” ~Judges 5:6-7

_____

(Inspired by Deborah, a judge and woman of influence in Israel)

Solidarity.

It starts with convenient encounters married to godly coincidences leading to engaging conversations sprouting from fertile soil. It is a commonality despite our personalities, our eccentricities, our past…

and it is seasoning YOU.

You are being seasoned for victory, developed by the Divine to build bonds that are closer than blood, craft intricacies that look like family trees, and form Christ-like camaraderie.

Yeah. You.

Did you know God wants to use YOU?

Because with you, the alienated become included, the estranged are embraced, and strangers turn out to be collaborators. People sway unknowingly to the cadence of your church fan. They lovingly hold hands where there are two or three. They touch and agree despite proximity… because of who you are, and this is what you do.

You are an Eloquent Warrior, and Solidarity is your sword. Only the God n You can use the complexity of how you love to win incomprehensible victory.

So, stop denying how the Spirit wants to use your mindful and compassionate tendencies. This is what you DO. This is how you FIGHT.

You UNITE. No more looking for weapons of mass destruction.

My heart is with Israel’s princes, with the willing volunteers among the people. Praise the Lord! ~Judges 5:9

And because of what you do, God’s people are equipped to hum in sequence where there is no music and give comfort where there are no words.

It’s time to go to work, Eloquent Warrior. Work to build unity in God’s community. Something beautiful will be revealed when you do what you do.

_____

So may all your enemies perish, Lord! But may all who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength. Then the land had peace for forty years. ~Judges 5:31

Surrender to Win

Barak said to her, “If you go with me. I will go, but if you don’t go with me, I won’t go.” "Very well, “ Deborah said, “I will go with you….” ~Judges 4:8-9a

Something in the lives of others is missing… is it you?

Woman, God uses your very body for unity. Is it so hard to imagine that your heart and mind are designed to do the same?

As a vessel built for success, you have more to give than you know. Deborah was a leader who understood the importance of putting down our differences and uniting towards a godly cause. She had no children of her own and yet she was called “a mother in Israel” because she knew how to birth new beginnings through unity.

Let this season of SECLUSION teach you how to become a vessel for UNITY.

Success will not be found where people feel division, so put down your fists. Stop fighting with words.

Our battle is not against what we see...

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. ~Ephesians 6:12

SEEK UNITY IN THE SPIRIT

Surrender to how you are created to WIN.

Make Solidarity your sword.

God is calling you to bring people together.

Find your strength in numbers and in harmony.

Unity birthed through eloquence. THIS IS HOW WE FIGHT.
