What if the only thing holding God back is you?

I have encountered some incredible and gifted people in my journey. But as many that have gone on to do amazing things have also done little or nothing with what God has given them. They've chosen to live in a place of comfort and confusion. A place where logic and fear reside. "The World of What If"...

What if I no one likes it? What if they love it?

What if it doesn't sell? What if it does?

What if I get embarrassed? What if I'm embraced?

What if I lose? What if I win? What if it stays the same?

What if, what if, what if?

You can always tell how likely someone is to fulfill purpose by the weight of the what if's in their life. I've never seen anything have more impact on God's people moving forward than what if.

So, I ask the question again.

What if the only thing holding God back is YOU?

Because God gives us free will, the choice is yours. Are you ready to stand flat-footed and make the one decision that will change your life? If so, say this with me...

I will not let my "what if's" be louder than the Word of God.

We can talk about purpose, question purpose, learn about purpose, but until we are accountable to purpose, we are just circling in a sea of uncertainty.

You want answers? Go to the Word of God.

God is not afraid of your questions.

The answers,

the confirmations,

the affirmations you need are in His Word.

Just understand that once you know better through His Word, guess what? You are accountable to doing better.

I couldn't be casual with the Word and expect Heaven to be intentional with me.

Simple things can be hard, but you've got this.

No more living in the land of what if. Your place is with God. Your place is in God. It's time to find your assurance in and take ownership of your citizenship in Zion.

His foundation is on the holy mountain. The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob (Israel). Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God [Jerusalem]. Selah. “I will mention Rahab (Egypt) and Babylon among those who know Me—
 Behold, Philistia and Tyre with Ethiopia (Cush)—
 ‘This one was born there.’”
 But of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one were born in her,” and the Most High Himself will establish her.
 The Lord will count, when He registers the peoples, “This one was born there.” Selah.
 The singers as well as the players of flutes will say,
 “All my springs and sources of joy are in you [Jerusalem, city of God].” ~Psalms 87, Amplified Bible

Selah.

Rest and reflect in knowing that your identity and your future are safe in Zion.

That is what awaits you on the other side of hesitation. Your identity in Christ. Your future in Creation.

Go get what's yours.

Lord,

Replace every "what if" in our lives with an affirmation from your Word. Let it ring true in every circumstance. We stand on it. We live in it. We love you for it. In Jesus' name. Amen.
