"9 Days of Seclusion" starts April 13th!

Updated: Apr 13, 2019

Join us for a special period of REVELATION during this HOLY SEASON. Join us for "9 Days of Seclusion".

Work. Being a mom. Ministry. Life can be nonstop. I love my life, but sometimes it takes all my energy to live it. Years ago during a particularly stressful season, I realized that I needed a break, a vacation… some time away. I didn’t have the money for my adventure, so I made a choice… the choice to “dream” my vacation.

I asked myself,

"What would be the perfect vacation?"

My answer?

9 DAYS of SECLUSION

Just 9 days. A week is too little, two weeks would be too much. 9 days. I didn’t want to be away from my responsibilities too long. 9 days. It was just enough time to start missing my life and for life to, hopefully, miss me, too.

There had been too much of others and not enough of me, so this time away really had to be mine. No more “people overload”. All I wanted was sand between my toes and God, even if only in my thoughts. Together, we would plan our escape through pen and paper, using the word “seclusion” to inspire the rest, rejuvenation, and affirmation I so desperately needed.

I was ready for my SECLUSION. I was ready for peace.

The writings of from that season long past have now been transformed into the devotional series known as "9 Days of Seclusion", but the objective is the same.

Peace.

Is your spirit seeking solace?

Does your mind need an intermission?

Is your heart ready to be restored?

God is ready to give you what you need, but it can only be found at the Savior’s feet.

Don’t relinquish these moments. Seize them because the Lord is near,

and a lot can happen when the Lord is near.

“Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. “ John 12:3 (NIV)

Mary’s life had been an emotional roller-coaster. Her brother Lazarus once dead was alive again, and the One who brought him back to her would soon die. Preparing His body for burial would come at a great cost, but He was worth it. For Jesus, she would make the sacrifice, but she desired something from Him as well.

She sought a sacred space, an inspiring intervention… with God. Time was slipping away but right now, the Lord was near. So, in a crowded room among friend and foe, she found what she needed… a retreat with her Redeemer.

"Leave her alone,” said Jesus.

Their time together was short, but profound. As she poured out her inner self, God filled her with His essence. It was an expression of God n Me. A love that, like the fragrance of sweet perfume, can fill a room and, like the promise of anointed oil, can never be washed away.

Will you TAKE THE TIME TO let God sooth your soul?

"9 Days" starts April 13th

God wants you to know there is a private, spiritual retreat waiting for you no matter where you are so embrace this self-expedition... but don’t delay. The Lord is near, and He is ready to respond to your sacrifice. His love is waiting to fill you up and it will not wash away.

9 poetic and prophetic encounters with the Master gave me what I needed. It is my prayer that they do the same for you.

We will be posting each morning from the 13th to Easter/Resurrection on the 21st. What can you do in the meantime?

  • Start praying now in anticipation for whatever awaits you in your 9 Days.
